What this tool does

  • Convert ordinary XML data to readable JSON.
  • Convert convention-based JSON to simple XML.
  • Inspect node and attribute counts for supported input.

Example

Input

<root><item>hello</item></root>

Output

{
  "root": {
    "item": "hello"
  }
}

XML supports elements, attributes, entities, comments, CDATA and repeated children. DTD/entity declarations, mixed content, namespace semantics and lossless type round-tripping are unsupported and explicitly rejected. JSON-to-XML uses a root key plus @attributes and #text.
