WeChat multi-instance guide (Windows) 1. Quit WeChat completely first: right-click the tray icon and choose Exit, then confirm no WeChat.exe is left in Task Manager. 3 instance(s) cannot start while one is running. 2. Confirm the install path: right-click the WeChat shortcut, open Properties, and copy the full path from the Target box (the default is C:\Program Files\Tencent\WeChat\WeChat.exe). 3. Save the script as described in the "save as .bat" section below. 4. Double-click the .bat file. It starts 3 WeChat window(s) one second apart; change the instance count and regenerate if you need more or fewer. 5. If a window closes immediately, the path is wrong or WeChat is still running - fix that and run it again. Risks - WeChat does not officially support multiple instances. It is an unofficial workaround that may violate the software licence and carries a risk of account limits or bans. - The script only launches processes. It does not bypass any WeChat check, so it can simply fail on versions that block multi-instance. - Test with a throwaway account first, not your main one. - Several WeChat windows at once use noticeably more memory and CPU.
Copy into Notepad and save as .bat

How to save the script as wechat-multiple.bat 1. Open Notepad (Win + R, type notepad, press Enter). 2. Copy the whole "script content" block above and paste it into Notepad. 3. Choose File → Save as, set the file name to wechat-multiple.bat, set "Save as type" to "All files (*.*)", and pick ANSI or UTF-8 as the encoding. 4. Save it to a folder you can find (the desktop works) and double-click it to run. 5. If the window flashes and disappears, the path is wrong or WeChat is already running. Note: the .bat is written with CRLF line endings; Notepad on Windows 10/11 handles that natively, and saving again with Notepad keeps it working.

Neither. It only concatenates text: no network requests, no disk scanning and no command execution. You save the .bat yourself and run it by double-clicking.

Only one WeChat window opens, or the window flashes and disappears. Why?
Usually WeChat is still running: the batch file starts with taskkill /IM WeChat.exe /F, but if any WeChat.exe survives, new instances exit immediately — check Task Manager. The second cause is a wrong path (portable build, another drive): copy the real one from the shortcut properties (right-click → Properties → Target) and regenerate.
Why does the batch file wait one second between launches?
WeChat itself takes a moment to start, and firing several start commands back-to-back can be ignored by the shell or the app. timeout /t 1 /nobreak >nul between launches makes each one land. More instances simply means a longer total runtime.
