What this tool does
- Generate test data or filler text by repeating a short snippet dozens of times at once.
- Produce a numbered template such as 1. xxx 2. xxx 3. xxx and paste it into a document to fill in.
- Build separators, banners or log prefixes by repeating a character a precise number of times.
Example
Input
ab
Output
ababab
Three repetitions joined with nothing by default; with the separator set to “-” the same input becomes ab-ab-ab.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a limit on the repeat count?
The count is capped at 100000 and the output at 5,000,000 characters. The size is estimated as input length × count up front, so an oversized request fails fast instead of locking up the browser.
Can the separator contain a newline or tab?
Yes. Type \n for a newline, \t for a tab and \\ for a literal backslash in the separator field — those escape sequences are resolved into real characters.
What is the difference between block and per-line repetition?
Block repetition treats the whole input as one piece and repeats it; per-line repetition splits the input into lines first and repeats each line N times, which is handy for duplicating every row of a list.
How does the numbering work?
Numbering starts at 1 and counts copies, not lines: with “1.” the output is 1. text2. text3. text, and with “[1]” it is [1] text[2] text. Set the separator to \n to put each copy on its own line.
