Time zone meeting planner
Find the best meeting time for a distributed team: pick cities and a reference time to see each participant’s local time, work-hour status and the recommended overlap windows.

Meeting setup
The city list is built in and offsets are computed live with the browser Intl API, fully offline; Saturdays and Sundays are never counted as working hours.

Pick a reference time and at least one city to see the result.
What this tool does
- Schedule a recurring call for a distributed team: select Beijing, London and New York and see instantly which hours keep everyone inside their working day.
- Check the time difference before replying to a client — enter their city and see whether “3 pm our time” lands in the middle of their night.
- Pick interview or on-call slots from the recommended overlap instead of guessing a time that only suits one side.
- Change the working window from 9–18 to 10–19 or 8–20 to see whether flexible hours buy a longer shared slot.
Example
Input
Reference zone Asia/Shanghai, reference time 2026-03-10 22:00, participants: Beijing, London, New York
Output
Beijing 2026-03-10 22:00 (outside working hours), London 2026-03-10 14:00 (within working hours, UTC+00:00), New York 2026-03-10 10:00 (within working hours, UTC-04:00); recommended overlap 21:00 – 00:00 (until midnight), 2/3 available
At 10 pm in China, London and New York are both still at work; move the reference time to 09:00 and New York drops back to 21:00 the previous day.
Frequently asked questions
How are the recommended windows calculated?
It walks the reference zone’s day from 00:00 to 24:00 in 30-minute steps, counts how many participants are inside their working hours on a weekday, then merges consecutive steps with the same count into a window. Windows are ranked by number of available participants and then by length, and the top three are shown.
Why does a city show “Weekend”?
Weekends are judged in local time, and Saturday and Sunday never count as working hours. Across time zones this cuts both ways — Friday evening here can be Saturday morning there — so the same instant can be a working hour for one participant and a weekend for another.
Are there enough cities? What if mine is missing?
The built-in list covers more than 40 business hubs across every continent. If your city is not listed, pick one in the same time zone — for example Beijing stands in for the whole UTC+08:00 region.
Does daylight saving time affect the result?
Yes, and it is handled automatically. Offsets are computed for the exact date with the browser Intl API, so European and American cities shift by an hour between March and October and the recommended windows move with them.
Is my schedule uploaded anywhere?
No. The city table ships with the page and every calculation runs locally in the browser — nothing is sent over the network and a refresh clears the state.
