The common edition has 10 lines; Daoist schools and manuscripts differ slightly in wording (e.g. 太乙道炁 also written 太乙道气) and line order. This site follows the most widely circulated version.

How many lines are included — is it complete?
The full common edition of 10 lines, from 金光烁屋，瑞气盈庭 to 一炁演化，杳杳冥冥, copied verbatim with nothing removed. Only the mantra text and a per-line paraphrase are included: no ritual instructions, talismans, practice methods or claims of efficacy.
Who wrote the glosses?
They are our own modern-Chinese paraphrase, labelled 简释, explaining the literal meaning only. They are not classical commentary and do not represent any Daoist lineage; for an authoritative reading follow the teacher and ritual of your own tradition.
Which edition is used when versions differ?
Daoist mantras were transmitted by manuscript and recitation, so variants are common: 太乙道炁 versus 太乙道气, 五脏玄明 versus 五藏玄明, and line order also differs between manuscripts. This site keeps the most widely circulated edition and does not merge, duplicate or annotate variants.
Can I use this for religious or health purposes?
