A Pomodoro timer with configurable focus, short and long break lengths, task labels, daily stats and local persistence.

Runs in your browserEvery computation happens in your browser — your data never leaves this device.

What this tool does

  • Plan a day with the Pomodoro technique: 25-minute focus blocks, 5-minute short breaks and a 15-minute long break every four pomodoros by default.
  • Label sessions with task names like "write the report" or "fix the login bug" and see exactly how many pomodoros each task took when you fill in your daily log.
  • Need longer blocks? Set focus to 50 minutes and breaks to 10 — the change applies immediately, no desktop app required.
  • Resume after a refresh or on another day: config, tasks and today's records persist in the browser.

Example

Input

Default config: 25-minute focus; 4 pomodoros finished today, long break every 4

Output

The timer reads 25:00; after the 4th pomodoro the long break starts and the timer reads 15:00

The next stage depends on completed pomodoros modulo the long break interval: 4 % 4 = 0, so it is a long break rather than a short one.

Frequently asked questions

Does the countdown keep running if I close the tab?

No. The timer relies on page timers, so closing or suspending the tab stops it. After a refresh your config, tasks and today's records come back from localStorage, but the in-flight countdown does not resume.

When does the long break trigger?

At the end of a focus stage: if the number of pomodoros completed today divides evenly by the long break interval you get a long break, otherwise a short one. The interval is adjustable between 2 and 10 and defaults to 4.

Does the daily statistic reset at midnight?

Yes. Every record stores a completion timestamp and the page compares only the local-timezone date part, keeping records from today, so stats start from zero once the clock passes midnight.

Do I have to enable the beep and browser notifications?

Neither is required. The beep is on by default, notifications are off, and permission is only requested once when you flip the switch — a denial just turns the toggle back off without nagging.

What happens if I type an out-of-range duration?

Focus accepts whole numbers from 1 to 180, breaks accept 1 to 60, and the long break interval accepts 2 to 10. An out-of-range value shows an inline error and keeps the last valid config, so the timer never breaks.
