What this tool does

  • Convert birthdays, anniversaries and traditional festivals: Gregorian to lunar, or lunar (including leap months) back to the Gregorian date.
  • See whether a lunar date lands on a weekend: results include the weekday and how many days it is from today.
  • Look up the sexagenary year and zodiac (丙午 / Horse and friends) without reaching for a reference table.
  • Check the 24 solar terms: whether today is one, otherwise the next term with its date and how many days away, plus the Gregorian dates of the Spring Festival, Lantern, Dragon Boat, Mid-Autumn and Double Ninth festivals for that lunar year.

Example

Input

Frequently asked questions

What date range is supported?

Gregorian 1900-01-31 to 2100-12-31, i.e. lunar years 1900 to 2100. Dates outside the range report an out-of-range error instead of returning something wrong; the limits come from the bundled lunar calendar data.

How are leap months handled?

Lunar-to-Gregorian conversion needs the leap month switch enabled, and it only succeeds when that leap month actually exists in the target lunar year (a leap sixth month exists in some years only). Gregorian-to-lunar results state explicitly whether the month is a leap month.

How are solar terms computed?

From solar term data bundled with the page (a per-year lookup), with no external astronomy service, so it works offline. The precision is one day — no exact instant is given, so it is not suitable for hour-level BaZi analysis.

Which year do the sexagenary year and zodiac follow?

The lunar year, bounded by the Spring Festival rather than the start of spring or 1 January. Someone born in January may therefore still belong to the previous lunar year.

Is the date I enter uploaded anywhere?

No. All conversions run locally in your browser with no network requests, and it works offline.
