What this tool does
- Keep only the lines you care about from logs, scraped results or exports, e.g. every line containing error or warn.
- Exclude noise instead: drop every line with OK or debug and read what is left.
- Use all-match when several conditions must hold at once, e.g. lines with both order and failed.
Example
Input
error: disk full info: ok warn: disk 90% error: timeout
Output
info: ok warn: disk 90%
Drop mode turns the same keyword into an exclude filter.
Frequently asked questions
Are multiple keywords AND or OR?
OR by default: a line is kept when any keyword matches. Switch to “every keyword must match” for AND semantics, where the line has to contain all keywords at once.
Can keywords be regular expressions?
Yes — turn on regex mode and a keyword such as ^\d{3} or (error|warn) is interpreted as a pattern. A broken pattern reports an error instead of silently matching as plain text; escape metacharacters such as a\.b for a literal dot.
Is the comparison case-sensitive?
Yes by default. With “Ignore case” both the substring and regex modes fold case, and dedupe also treats ERROR and error as the same line.
How is this different from the include/exclude tools?
This one is a general keep-or-exclude switch that covers both directions. When you specifically want “all lines containing a keyword” or “keep lines without the keyword”, those two tools say exactly that in their output.
