List data ownership lookup
Treat each item of list B as the start marker of a data package and scan list A to decide which package every item belongs to: a marker opens a new package numbered from 1, items before the first marker form the prelude, and the output is `package. index` plus the content.

What this tool does
- Parse concatenated exports: each package starts with a header, so list the headers first and tag every line with its owner.
- Check data by batch: treat batch IDs as start markers and confirm how many records each batch holds.
- Turn a flat log back into a structured view: cut it at the markers and renumber each block to compare against the original order.
Example
Input
P1 x y P2 z --- P1 P2
Output
P1. 1 P1 P1. 2 x P1. 3 y P2. 1 P2 P2. 2 z
“P1” and “P2” in list B are the start markers: each opens a new package numbered from 1, and the marker line itself is the package's first item.
Frequently asked questions
How exactly is ownership decided?
Every item of list B is a start marker. Scanning A from top to bottom: a line equal to a marker opens that package (the marker line itself is the package's first item), and everything up to the next marker belongs to the current package.
What about lines before the first marker?
They are the “prelude”: they appear before any marker, so they belong to no package. The prelude count is reported, and “Drop the prelude” removes them from the output while keeping the stats.
How are package names and indices shown?
The format is `package + label separator + index + content separator + content`, e.g. `P1. 1 x`. Prelude lines show `-` as the package name. Turn off “Include the prefix” to output the content only.
Does the order in B matter?
Yes — the package order follows B. Duplicate markers in B count once (the first occurrence wins). Matching is case-sensitive by default; turn on “Ignore case” to treat 包A and 包a as the same marker.
