Keyboard shortcuts practice
Practise the keyboard shortcuts you actually use: read the action, press the right combination to score, with separate Windows/Linux and macOS key maps plus streak bonuses and levels.
Runs in your browserEvery computation happens in your browser — your data never leaves this device.
Practice settings
Read the action, then press the matching combination anywhere on the page. A correct answer scores; a wrong one shows the right combination. Some shortcuts may be intercepted by the browser, so "show answer" is always available.
Question
Press the combination anywhere on the page (not inside an input)
The library covers the most common browser, editor, system and terminal shortcuts, with separate key maps where macOS and Windows differ.

What this tool does
- Learn the macOS key map after switching platforms: the same action is Ctrl+Shift+T on Windows and ⌘⇧T on a Mac, and drilling both makes the switch automatic.
- Onboard a teammate: get close-tab, reopen-tab, find and hard-reload into muscle memory and the mouse clicks drop by half.
- Warm up before coding: comment-line, move-line, duplicate-line and rename-symbol are worth not thinking about while you work.
- Refresh terminal habits before an interview: Ctrl+L to clear and Ctrl+C to interrupt are the two you reach for most when debugging.
Example
Input
Key map Windows / Linux, question "Reopen the tab you just closed", press Ctrl+Shift+T
Output
Feedback correct, score 20 (10 base + 10 speed bonus + 0 streak bonus), streak 1, level 1, accuracy 100.00%
Switching to macOS changes the answer to ⌘⇧T; pressing Ctrl+Shift+T on a Mac is marked wrong because the two key maps are compared separately.
Frequently asked questions
Why does nothing happen for some combinations?
Some combinations are intercepted by the browser or the operating system first (Ctrl+W to close a tab, ⌘Q to quit, and so on) so the page never receives the key event. Use "show answer" to move on, or practise with the other key map.
How does scoring work?
A correct answer is worth 10 base points plus up to 10 speed points (one point lost per half second) plus 2 points per streak level up to 10. A wrong answer scores nothing and resets the streak, and every 100 points is a new level.
How is accuracy calculated?
Accuracy is correct questions divided by total attempts. If you miss a question and then get it right, accuracy drops below 100% — which is exactly the signal for guessing versus knowing.
Are keystrokes recorded?
No. Keys are only compared with the built-in library, scores live in page memory, a refresh clears them, and the page makes no requests.
