Frequently asked questions
Which operations are supported?
Arithmetic + - x /, exponentiation ^ (right-associative), factorial ! (integers 0-170), parentheses and percent. Full-width x, / and （） and the CJK minus sign are accepted too.
Is % a percent sign or modulo?
Position decides: a % right after a number is a percent sign (50% becomes 0.5, 200*50% becomes 100), while a % between two operands is modulo (10 % 3 is 1).
What is the expression = result form for?
Verification. Entering 1+2=4 makes the tool compute 3 and flag it as inconsistent, and the mismatch count appears in the stats. The tolerance is 1e-9.
Is the history stored locally?
No. The tool processes text only: you paste the history and it evaluates and summarises line by line. Nothing is written to localStorage and no request is made.
