URL parameter extractor
Pull the value of one query parameter out of every URL in a list — repeated keys returned in full or reduced to the first or last, plus and %XX decoded, invalid lines skipped and counted, with an optional URL column.

What this tool does
- Export utm_source or utm_campaign from a batch of campaign links to spot untagged channels.
- Pull the query term out of search result URLs for word counting or translation.
- Audit page parameters in API logs to spot abnormal pagination values.
Example
Input
https://example.com/search?q=hello+world&lang=en https://example.com/search?q=url%20encode
Output
hello world url encode
The repeated tag parameter produces one line each (html, css, js), and the last line is skipped because it is not a URL.
Frequently asked questions
What if a parameter appears several times?
All values are returned, one per line, by default. Switch the mode to “First only”, “Last only” or “Count only” to keep a single value or just count occurrences per URL.
Are + and %20 decoded?
Yes. A plus sign becomes a space following form rules and UTF-8 escapes such as %E4%B8%AD%E6%96%87 are restored. Turn both decode switches off to keep raw values.
Do invalid lines raise an error?
No. Lines without a scheme and host that do not start with a slash are skipped and counted in the “Skipped” stat, so lists with stray log lines still work.
Can I extract several parameters at once?
One parameter name per run, but the “URL + value” output mode helps: export links with the first parameter, then change the name and run again.
