What this tool does
- Turn crawled product URLs into a readable list of product names for manual review.
- Make a bookmarks export reviewable by title instead of a wall of URLs.
- Produce a link-to-name mapping for a spreadsheet import.
Example
Input
https://shop.example.com/item/12345?name=Wireless%20Earbuds https://blog.example.com/2026/03/hello-world.html https://example.com/about-us/
Output
Wireless Earbuds hello world about us
The first URL uses its name parameter, hello-world.html becomes “hello world”, and the third falls back to the host.
Frequently asked questions
What is the priority order?
First a name, title or filename query parameter (editable through “Parameter names”), then the last path segment with the extension removed and dashes turned into spaces, and finally the host with www. and the port stripped.
Why do two links get the same name?
Their last path segment or query value is identical. Tick “Deduplicate by name” to keep the first occurrence; otherwise every URL still gets its own line.
Is a + in the query treated as a space?
Yes. That is what application/x-www-form-urlencoded specifies, so name=a+b and name=a%20b both become “a b”.
Does the host fallback keep www?
No. www.example.com yields example.com and the port is dropped, so the same site does not produce two different names.
