What this tool does

  • Pull every number out of report text, contracts or OCR output so you can total them without retyping.
  • Check invoice amounts including thousands separators and paste the values straight into a sheet.
  • Collect percentages and ratios from prose, with the % sign optionally stripped.

Example

Input

3 items, temperature -2.5, amount 1,234,567.89, share 12.5%, code 007; IP 192.168.1.1 is not extracted.

Output

3
-2.5
1,234,567.89
12.5
007

Thousands separators and the percent sign are dropped by default; 192.168.1.1 is skipped because every candidate is fenced by digits or dots.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the IP 192.168.1.1 not extracted?

Candidates may not have a digit or a dot next to them, which prevents IPs, dates and version strings from being shredded into fragments. Use the IP extractor for addresses.

Are thousands separators kept?

Yes, 1,234,567.89 stays as one value so it can go straight into a sheet. Turn thousands separators off and it splits into three numbers at the commas.

How is the percent sign handled?

By default only the digits are kept (12.5% → 12.5); enable “Keep the percent sign” to output 12.5%. Either way the result object records whether a % was present.

Does 007 become 7?

No. The tool is purely textual and does no numeric conversion, so leading and trailing zeros survive.

How much text can it handle?

Two million characters, after which it reports an error rather than freezing the main thread.
