What this tool does
- Export every link from scraped HTML in one pass, for internal link audits or outbound link lists.
- Turn anchors into Markdown [text](url) so they can be pasted straight into a README or docs page.
- Resolve relative hrefs against a base URL and deduplicate them before counting.
Example
Input
<p><a href="https://example.com/a">First</a> and <a href='/b'>Second</a> and <a href=/c>Third</a></p>
Output
https://example.com/a First /b Second /c Third
All three quoting styles are picked up and inline tags inside the anchor are stripped; the output is link, tab, text.
Frequently asked questions
Does it handle single-quoted attributes?
Yes. Double quotes, single quotes and completely unquoted values are all parsed, and tag or attribute case does not matter (HREF, <A>). Quoted values may contain spaces and equals signs.
How do relative links become absolute?
Tick “Resolve to absolute URLs” and fill in the page URL, e.g. https://example.com/blog/post. Relative paths, root-relative paths and ../ segments are all resolved; links that are already absolute stay untouched.
What happens to anchors without an href?
They are skipped and counted in the “Skipped” stat. Placeholder href="" and <a name="x"> tags are skipped too, so no blank lines appear in the output.
Are links inside comments extracted?
Yes. Extraction is a string scan rather than a full DOM parse, so <!-- <a href="x"> --> is still matched. Strip comments first if you need them excluded.
