Frequently asked questions
Which sorting rules are used?
Intl.Collator("zh-Hans") provides ascending Chinese collation, usually pinyin order, not stroke order. Polyphonic characters and special surname readings follow browser collation data; custom pronunciations are not supported and environments may differ slightly.
How are blanks and duplicate names handled?
Blank entries are ignored and surrounding whitespace is trimmed; spaces inside names remain. Duplicates are kept, and names that compare equal retain their original order.
Are names uploaded?
No. Processing stays in your browser. Copy the result or download a UTF-8 TXT file.
