Frequently asked questions
How is the size code determined?
By the Chinese garment size standard GB/T 1335: the first number is height in cm (stepped by 5), the second is net chest in cm (stepped by 4), written as 175/92. Your measurements snap to the nearest step, so a 93 cm chest lands on 92.
What do the letters A, B, Y and C mean?
They encode the chest-to-waist drop. For men Y is 22–17 cm, A 16–12, B 11–7 and C 6–2; for women Y 24–19, A 18–14, B 13–9 and C 8–4. A larger drop means a slimmer build; A is the standard build.
What happens if I omit the waist?
A waist is inferred from the standard drop (−14 cm for men, −16 cm for women), so the body type shows as A. Add the net waist measurement if you want the real body-type classification.
How accurate are the garment estimates?
They use typical shirt proportions: body length ≈ height×0.40+2, long sleeve ≈ height×0.35, short sleeve ≈ height×0.14, garment chest = net chest+12 (a comfortable shirt ease) and neck ≈ net chest×0.40+1.5. Use them to narrow the range, then confirm against the seller's chart.
Why does the letter size differ from a brand label?
There is no standard for letter sizes and many brands shift a full step (one brand's M matches another's L). This tool uses a common mapping, so both the numeric size code and the letter are shown — trust the size code first.
