These switches change how the home page behaves.

Auto-collapse favorites when emptyKeeps the home page from showing a large empty block before you favorite anything.

Open external favorites in a new tabTurn off to open external links in the current tab.

Show the home search boxTurn it off if you only use the home page as a bookmark page.

The search box finds site tools by default; with web search on it can also hand your query to a search engine.

Allow web searchWhen off, the search box only returns site tools and never offers a web search.

Search engineWhich engine to use for web search. Results open in a new tab.

Every home section and every category can be collapsed separately, and the state is remembered across reloads.

The exported JSON contains settings only (not favorites). Importing overwrites the current settings.
